Hello! I’m a long time lurker, but brand new member! I’m looking for opinions on my color choices.
My main color, and my gir’s dresses, is/are tiffany blue (bottom left pic–actual dress and color, called “Spa”). It’s my favorite color. I also love rainbow colors and colorful florals, so that is the rest of my theme (see flowers on the right).
My fiance likes red, so I was trying to incorporate that too, so that it’d be both of our favorite colors. See top left pic–grey suit with red bowtie. I love how it looks with the red, and on top of that, I thought the matching Spa color looked a bit weird (middle tie). The other two ties were options for more muted blue colors.
Heres’ the thing–I do not want the red and blue to be main colors (see the bottom pic below the collage!). I want the blue to be the accent color, with the rainbow florals being the other focus of the theme. I do intend to put red in the flowers (more like the bottommost flower picture, probably more red), but otherwise the most red I’d intend to decorate with is perhaps a ribbon on a vase, lol. Some people are saying that I should not do the red bowties unless I intend to use red as another main color. The problem with that is a) I don’t like the way these two colors look together by themselves (bottom pic) and b) I think these two colors WITH the rainbow flowers would be too much.
So my question is, are red flowers in colorful floral arrangements/bouquets enough to tie in the red bowties with my tiffany blue bridesmaids and theme?
It pans out perfectly in my head, but my friends and family do not see my same vision.
And here is the pic of the kind of thing I do NOT want:
