So, I think I want to take “bubble” votive holders and put gold tissue paper on them and then stencil on the number in red for my table numbers. My over-all vision for my centerpieces is (and please don’t make fun of my Paint skills, hahaha):
So…3 varying height cylinder vases, the tallest with red orchids, the middle with cream and white callas, and the shortest with purple hydrangea. All put on a white circle (to mimic the oversized lanterns in my reception hall) with red preserved orchids sprinkled around.
Now, I’ve tested out three different ways to tissue paper my candle holders (all using these instructions for the general idea on how to do it). Lights on:
And with the lights off:
So, far left I just have strips of tissue paper, in the middle is little pieces (what the instructions tell you to do), and to the right I basically took a whole sheet and just threw in on there as one piece, haha.
I think my favorite is the one on the far right, but I would need to practice my technique a little bit. So what do you think?
And if you have made candle holders with this technique before, if you have advice I’d love to hear it!
