I’m looking for constructive feedback on my makeup trial. I think my girl did a good job but I’m still on the fence about the lip color. I was thinking I wanted a more berry color but she suggested I try this no-kiss off red laquer from Mac.
I really am looking for any advice or suggestion, or even affirmations if this looks like the right style of makeup for my face/complexion, etc.
i have taken photos with various forms of lighting and flash.

I love it. It’s bold with a kinda retro look. It really suits you. And the lippy is great too. Cute winking pic!

I love everything about it!

You have beautiful features and it looks gorgeous on you. Personally I would like a softer / more natural lip colour and think that it would look even nicer, but that’s just my personal opinion! You pull it off either way 🙂

I think you look beautiful! The lips are very bold, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing.

What does your dress look like? That would be a factor in the lip color decision for me. I think you look stunning!

I think it looks gorgeous, but when you’re smiling widely the very outermost sides of your lips look as though the color is wearing off or blurred? Make sure your MUA fixes that so it doesn’t look weird when you smile, since I’m hoping you’ll be doing that a ton on your wedding day! 🙂
Also I’d purchase the lip product she used so you can touch up at the wedding. If it’s a lacquer you have to apply with a brush, I’d ask her to find you a matching lipstick that you can use for small touchups throughout the day.
Any time you’re going with a bold lip color, it’s always best to ask your bridesmaids and/or mom to be on lookout for you to make sure the color doesn’t bleed, feather outside the lip line, get on your teeth, smudge, or wear away throughout the day and evening. Just ask them to pay special attention since it’s definitely more noticeable than a nude or muted shade. That way you can fix it quickly without having to endure the humiliation of checking your face in the bathroom mirror, noticing you have lipstick on your cheek, and wondering how freaking many people you talked to since it smudged, lol! The good news, however, is that if anything does go wrong your photographer can probably Photoshop it to fix it in the pictures.
Make sure to kiss your Fiance a bunch after your trial to make sure it’s not going to transfer to him. You’ll probably be doing that a lot on your wedding day too, and red lipstick probably won’t be as flattering on him as it is on you! 😉
Good luck and congrats!

I agree with Mrs. Honeybee, it does look like the lip color is lighter towards the outer parts of your lips. I’m assuming it’s because there’s almost an ombre effect in the way she applied the lipstick, but when you smile it’s pretty noticeable. Personally I like the color and the ombre but I would just ask her to pull the dark color through the outer edges more. If that makes sense?

Love it; you look gorgeous. I wouldn’t change a thing. A berry colored lipstick would work for you too.
