Hi all 🙂
So, I have a pretty unique engagement ring. My fiance and I have been having a tough time finding a wedding band that looks good with it, without actually having to spend a ton of money having one custom-made.
My dad actually has a ring that has been passed down throughout our family history, and I wanted some opinions on how this ring looks with my engagement ring!
Thanks for all your thoughts, I greatly appreciate it!

I don’t think they go that well together, but it’s not terrible or anything. If you don’t find somehting else you like, I’d go ahead and use it. Otherwise, I’d probably want that band to wear alone, and then you could maybe get a simple band that matches your e-ring. Are you sure that ring doesn’t have companion pieces available through the jewelry company?

Love that its a family piece! I say go for it 🙂 I dont think its worth buying a custom band, plus what a neat and fun story!! so special

I think they look really pretty and I love the gap! Although I might be biased since I have space between my two rings;)

I think it looks great! It doesn’t exactly match, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. Some people are super into the matchy matchy and some aren’t. I am the type to like things a bit less matchy and I definitely think these rings work well together.

The sparkles, they’re blinding!
On a serious note, both rings look really pretty and I think it would be lovely to wear something that has been passed down through your family.

I don’t particularly think they work well together, but they are both beautiful. Maybe wearing the family one on your right hand as your wedding band, or just wearing it alone in place of your e-ring for certain occasions would work? I think that the band sort of crowds your gorgeous e-ring up onto your knuckle, and that both rings would look stunning alone.

@mrsSonthebeach: We have checked, there is nothing made to match this ring; assuming because it is not a traditional engagement ring! Thank you for your opinion, though!

I think they look good together and the fact it’s a family makes it special.

I agree with PP’s… I think they work together (not perfect, but with character) and the fact that its an heirloom makes it even more special. I say go for it.

Yea I say go for it, they are both on a common theme, super sparkily. And if anyone gives you a caca face just say hey its an heirloom and then they will not say another word. I’ve found that strategy works really well.

I really like how they look together..Both have a vintage feel:)

I think they look really beautiful together and personally would choose to wear them together just as they are, but another option is to wear them separately. That is, you could switch your engagement ring to your right hand once you are married and just wear the band on your left hand. Just remember that engagement rings and wedding bands don’t necessarily HAVE to fit together or even match. My own set happens to fit together but my mother’s set doesn’t and my parents have been married for over thirty years. 🙂
I also don’t think that any wedding band you could have custom-made to match your engagement ring would be any prettier than the wedding band that you already have!

I do like both, they are super unique and I think if you are having a hard time finding something that works that this band is the solution. They don’t look like a cookie cutter set but but I kind of like that about them together…the heirloom one is really meaningful too, so that just makes it that much better in my opinion.
Do you like them together? Is this something you can see yourself liking down the road still or would you be upset that they aren’t more matchy matchy?
