Hi, I got my dress a few days ago, and I just need some reassurrance I guess, still seeing soo many gorgeous dresses…somehow I wished my dress was a mermaid….what silhouette is this dress? Is it a mermaid? Please tell me what you think of this dress, be honest 🙂

Fit and flare. A mermaid would flare out around your knees.

It’s a fit and flare, but when you go in for fittings, your seamstress can alter it to fit tighter around your knees, giving it more of a mermaid shape. That’s what I’m doing!
Regardless, it looks great on you and you shouldn’t regret your choice!

Yes, fit and flare…mermaid has a separate skirt whereas fit and flare is all one piece that fits kind of like a mermaid.
I think it’s really nice. I hae an assymentric mermaid. =)

Fit n flare – I think this is a better choice over a mermaid because although they are pretty and dramatic, the ones I tried on I couldn’t IMAGINE dancing in! The mermaids are very restricting around the thighs. I went with a fit n flare over a mermaid for this reason, so it’s a good reason not to have dress regret over yours!
