You mean the long wedding dresses that you take the skirt off and then it’s a cocktail style dress?

I like them but do wish the cocktail dress were a bit longer … maybe knee length. Not everyone has a pair of beautiful glam legs to show off in a mini-skirt…

I like the idea of it but I didn’t get one.  I love my dress and I plan on it wearing it as long as possible, lol.

@magnoliafine:  Some are really gorgeous/cute like this:

Two-In-One Wedding Dresses : wedding bridesmaids ceremony dress inspiration reception Convertible Dress Bridal Gallery2

    Also this:

It depends on ur budget, your taste, if you want a ‘different ‘ dress for ur ceremony/reception without a big sum/extra dress. Uou may not want to buy a 2 in 1 and realise you wish you had enuff *dancing* freedom in a dress.lol..

I love the idea of them, but I’m with you – the short version of the dresses, I don’t usually love as much.

Not a huge fan.  I am spending enough for the dress I am in.. I want to feel like I am wearing a wedding dress for the whole time!  I’ve never liked the idea of changing or having two different looks.  Plus I feel like it would feel weird to have the shorter skirt underneath, like I could feel the hem.

I think they’re a great alternative for people with smaller budgets who want two looks.  I’m personally fine with one dress for the whole day.  But for those who wants two looks, this is a great way to get that!

I saw one on SYTD that went from ball gown to mermaid… that was beautiful! I don’t really like the dresses that turn into cocktail dresses, though.

I’m not a fan of them. I am completely happy wearing my one dress all day. I think the idea of them is great. I think the examples above are beautiful and if you like them go for it!

@Tangled:  I was JUST thinking that this would be the only way I would have liked one. I haven’t seen one that does that, but I think that’s a great idea!

I haven’t found one where I like the shorter dress.
