Help! My husband and I had agreed on a unisex name when we were trying for our second child. I was always leaning towards it being more of a cute name for a girl, but we just found out we’re having a boy! Aaaahhh….
Linden would be the name. It is not common, but definitely more traditionally a boy’s name. Linden Riker would be first and middle name. (Would have been Linden Rei for a girl, sigh).
Please help! Does this sound like a boy’s name to you!?!? Or is it better for a girl?

Reminds me of Lyndon Johnson and all of the children I’ve met named Landon. So boy.

I think boy when I hear it.

I’ve met a linden and it was a boy.

I think girl bc it reminds me of a character on The Killing. It was her surname, but everyone called her Linden.

TheGridMonster : Yes! We watched that, too. Funny, it was shot in Vancouver, and we are naming the baby after a retired Vancouver hockey player, Trevor Linden 😀

My brother in law’s name is Lyndon, so I think of it as a boy name.

Lyndon Johnson was a (male) American president.
When I see Linden all I think of is the gritty North Jersey town my grandparents grew up in.
But I definitely don’t think girl name.

I actually only know one Lynden and it’s a girl but I still lean towards boy name when I hear it

It’s not a common name around me, but when I’ve seen or heard it, it’s always been for a boy, but it’s also been spelled Lyndon, like the former US president.

Me too, Unter den linden, lol.
I’m no help anyway , as I don’t like the names of objects , inanimate or otherwise being used for for childrens names . Except maybe flower names .

I think girl, but I’ve only know one Linden and she’s a girl, so that’s probably why!

My friend’s just bought a house from Linden Homes. The only Linden I know IRL is male.
