Ok, first pic is the style we are going for.
2nd pic- reception site and included plastic chairs (someone else’s wedding).
We will be hanging muslin/burlap lighted swags and some crystals to jazz it up!
I HATE chair covers, so my options (PLEASE HELP) are:
1- tie a muslin/burlap sash through the hand hole in the plastic chairs, CHEAP! (see pic 3 and photoshoped pic 4)
2- rent white resin chairs (pic 5)…might need to add muslin sash as well…more $$$.
Please let me know why you picked what you did…THANKS!

I would tie the muslin sash but not through the hole in the chair. Put it over the top of the back and tie securely underneath, (just like in the inspiration photo). This way the back plastic will be covered and will look less plasticky

I like the chairs as they are. I think the lines and look of them without anything gives a clean look.

I don’t like the muslin at all on either chair.

@Meowkers: My thought exactly, cover the whole back of the chair and done 🙂

My 2 cents… The first plastic chairs don’t actually look that bad… And to be honest they look a damn site more comfortable than the white ones 🙂
I agree with a PP if you are going to put the material on (not that I think you need too – but that said I am in the “nobody cares what the chairs look like so let’s save some money and NOT do anything to them” group) but it would look better covering the backof the chair going thru the bottom gap 🙂

thanks so far for the comments/votes…I added the option of just leaving the original chairs alone…I really would prefer plain chairs, but I feel like I’m at a conference with the plastic chairs…maybe with the decor they will disappear???
