Alrighty bees, I need some input.
But here’s a little info first: My fiance and I do not have a venue yet. We aren’t even certain if we will do a small Destination Wedding in Costa Rica, a wedding in my parents backyard overlooking the golf course/pond, or just go to the Justice of the Peace. So, I know that could alter your opinions on what dress I choose.
So I just wanted to start looking for dresses. And I came across 3 today that I liked.
Dress #1 is beautiful. Allure Bridal. But it’s $1055. If I wait until September 1st to order, I can get 20% off. I didn’t think I wanted white (was thinking ivory originally), but I really like this one in white.
Dress #2 is more casual. Eliza J at Nordstrom. It makes me feel romantic (so does #1). It is $748. It is an “off the rack” dress so I wouldn’t need to special order anything.
Dress #3 is a sample. Allure bridal. Only $299!!! But because it’s a little small, I’d need to have a corset back put in. That will still only be $100 or so. But I don’t “love” the dress. However, it’s a good deal, and if I want it I need to get it tomorrow or it could be gone.
here is the front detail of dress #2

I think #2 is perfect. All of your venue options seem more casual, and so does this dress so I think it’s perfect. Oh and it looks great too!

I like #1 but not $1055 plus tax and alterations like it. I would keep looking, but know that #1 looks awesome on you, maybe find something similar but at a cheaper cost. 2 and 3 are okay but not as good as #1. 3 is my least favorite, even though it is the cheapest which us usually the biggest plus for me. I think the shallower sweetheart on 1 is the most flattering and the tulle bottom is super romantic.

#2. Your body is perfect for that dress which is so lovely!!!!

I dont want to sound rude, but dress 2 does not do you any justice. It makes you look pregnant. Dress 1 and 3 however give you more an alluring figure. I personally would avoid dress, two, but this is your wedding, if you feel like a million bucks in any of them then get the one that you will love!
Again, I am not saying to mean or rude. Just my $.02. 😉

I’m not a fan of the empire waist on number 2. Like the above poster said, it makes you seem like you’re hiding something and you have a gorgeous figure you should show off! I like number 1 and 3, but I wouldn’t choose 3 just because it’s a good deal. Especially because you haven’t settled on other wedding details, I don’t want you to have dress regret.

OMG I LOVE #1 but then I saw #3. Hrm, they are both amazing (not a fan of #2) this is a tough decision, you cannot go wrong with either of them. do you have a pic of back of #3. From the pictures you shared, I choose #1.

I am definitely appreciating the honest comments ladies! Keep them coming.
@bestbuddies: I do have a pic of the back of #3. But I’ll have to upload it later as I stepped away from my computer for a bit.
@Geekbride: I don’t think you’re being rude at all! 🙂 Love honest opinions.

Dress one is the dress. I agree about what was sd earlier about dress 2 it is not you at all.

Here is my honest, unadulterated opinion.
#1 is GORGEOUS. Perfect balance of flowy and structured. Falls off your waist beautifully. And the white is stunning on your skin tone – much more complementary than the off-whites of the other dresses. Can’t get enough of this dress. Perfect perfect perfect.
#2 does not flatter your figure at all. The waist line is placed at your ribcage, right under your boobs, and not at your thinnest point, so it’s giving you a belly (worse, baby bump) you don’t have. I wouldn’t bank on alterations fixing something that structurally based.
#3 is better than 2 but still doesn’t quite do your figure justice. Cuts off your waist too early, inflating your hips a little. It would need crinoline which would make it very formal. I’m not getting any “wows” from it.

Here is the back of #3.
Here is the side of #1. Don’t have a full on back view.

@gangqinjia: Your comments about dress #1 made me smile so big! Thanks!!

@CocoLoco523: you don’t “love” #3 so take it off the list. you should love your dress. i really like #1 on you. #2 is cute but it doesn’t look bridal enough.
i voted #1 but i think you have time to keep looking. you may also want to decide on the style/formality of your wedding too. that will influence your dress decision.

I love 1, I like 3, and I do not like 2.

I voted #1 – that smile & your description for me showed how muchyou like evrything except the cost.
#3- is off the list as you are attrated to the price – then we will see a thread called dress regret – don’t do it
#2 – while it is a very cute simple dress – I didn’t see you as a bride in it (No matter where you got married).
I say keep shopping and even if you cannot find something – you can always go back 9/20!
