I voted for Mila b/c that’s my favorite first name of all the options. I think Fiona Abigail “sounds” the best, but I don’t like Fiona for a first name, mainly b/c I don’t like Fi as a nickname.

I share your dislike of “Abby” as a nickname.

I love Lucy/Lucille and Mila Abigail is alright too.

I feel like Lucille doesn’t really go with Abigail though, since they both have that “L” sound at the end.

I really hate the name Fiona but that’s probably a personal thing.

Mila is our middle name choice for a girl, my SO is obsessed with that name.

I’ve never actually heard the name “Mila” before, but I love it! I don’t think it’s too “out there” or anything, and it’s very pretty.

Edit:…Okay so I just realized that Mila Kunis exists in my knowledge. Still, I think it’s pretty unique!

I voted “Lucy Abigail” but only because I have a weird pet peeve of two ‘a’ sounds together: with ‘Mila Abigail’ there’s a little choky ‘ah’ sound you have to make when you say the Abigail (unless you pronounce it “mi labigail’) that isn’t there if the first name doesn’t end in an A. What about Mila Lucy Abigail?

As someone who works with kids, I am very much over the name Abigail. I started working with children maybe 5 years ago, and have met more Abigails and Abbys (plus Abi, Abbie spellings) than I can count. I’m in DFW, which I believe you are too? So just know that your daughter would definitely be one of the many. I think you’d also have to get used to her being called Abby as a nickname.

I love Lucy. It’s pretty, classic, and yet still unique for this generation. Mila is nice too, but definitely gaining popularity.

Milla Jovovich has two L’s, but yeah, she’s the one *I* think of when I hear Mila. Both actresses are great, though. No bad connotations!

Maybe see if he likes some other Abigail-sounding names? Clarabell, Isabel?

I don’t prefer the name Abigail at all… maybe because I just finished reading and watching the Crucible. Why does it have to be a part of the name if you’re not both on board?

Lucille has a great rhythm for a middle name. I would come up with more options of first names.

Fiona Abigail is nice, I think. God luck with your choice!
