I wore one in a friend’s wedding, with girls ranging from tiny to very pregnant. They honestly looked really good on everyone, and they were SUPER comfortable. The only drawback is that there are limited styles of wrapping that will cover a bra, but you can buy little tube tops that match to go underneath that help out with that problem. Ours were from Dalina on etsy — she was wonderful!

My wedding is on August 18 and we’re doing it. Six girls, different body types, the ones from Dessy. It’s a jersey material, but actually a little dressier than I had expected/wanted – almost shiny in some lights.
The only comments/concerns I’ve gotten so far are that they run really big in sizing, and they are harder than they look to style especially in terms of finding an appropriate bra that works.
I’ll try to remember to stop back with pictures after the wedding.

I actually own one (floor length), and it’s very dressy! It sounds like a great idea for pleasing different personalities, but still having a cohesive look. Just to play devil’s advocate, I never wear mine anymore because I feel like the thin material is super unflattering no matter what way I tie it! (My hips and boobs always end up looking HUGE lol)…so maybe see if your girls feel comfortable? Maybe it depends on the fabric?

I think thats a great idea, especially since you said they all have different body types, therefore being able to change the same dress will give them more options to find the way it would look better for each one of them.

- Wedding: September 2013 - B&B
I love the pics you ladies posted! I have decided to go with infinity dresses. I believe I will order mine from Henkaa.com, and they are $128. First I will be ordering a swatch though just to make sure the material is ok. But my wedding isn’t really really formal (it’s cocktail style).
Good to know about needing the right bra or buying a bandeau top of some kind to go under!

I just got one from Etsy. I was planning to use for my Jamaica vow renewal in November. I’m not going to wear it for vow renewal but will wear on honeymoon. If you are busty, you will need the bandeau/tube top that you can order. I also think you need some type of bra.
I spent about twenty five minutes trying to tie mine and then I found the tube top. Tried with tube and still had some trouble. The tube kind of rolls up. I was thinking of sewing the bottom of tube to dress so it will stay in place. I got frustrated and put it away.
The dress is beautiful; I just think it takes some practice and two sets of hands to tie into the style you want.

I ordered one just for my own closet from Von Vonni (they had a LivingSocial deal, $68 bucks!) and I LOVE it!! I was originally thinking of going with these for my BMs, but was afraid they would feel exposed. I didn’t get a tube top to go underneath, but I think if you have that you are set no matter what the girls’ sizes or their skin-baring preferences! I can’t wait to wear mine. The material from Von Vonni is great, it’s a medium weight jersey with a slight sheen and falls so nicely at the bottom. Very flattering.

im glad i came across your review of the von vonni dress, because that’s what i was looking for! may i ask what dress size you usually wear? i’m concerned about it being “one-size-fits-all” because my BMs range from 0-6. concerned the dresses would be too big…

this is probably way too late to help you out, but for others – the Von Vonni dress is great and not too big for smaller ladies – I’m a size 4 and it fits fabulously. Also, I got infinity dresses from Dalina on Etsy for my bridesmaids and they fit and flatter each of my girls (size 2 to 12). With the matching tube tops, even the larger (DD) chested girls are comfortable in them, they all love them!
