So it’s not the best picture and I haven’t gotten it altered yet, I am only 5’1 so it needs a lot taken off the length but what do yall think of the dress? I was so happy to find something that didn’t need to be taken in, and it was 50% off at a sample sale! Do you think it needs a belt? I was looking at a rhinestone belt/sash on etsy but can’t decide! Also, would an elbow length veil look best?? Thanks bees!

I’m very visual so I would have to see it with a belt to see if it looks good. The dress is very pretty and looks good on you.

I think it looks beautiful without the belt, but if you wanted to add sparkle I think it would look beautiful with a belt too. My best friend had an all lace dress and she added a belt, it looked beautiful.
I’m partial to at least a fingetrtip veil, but if you have details on the back that you don’t want hiding an elbow length will be perfect.

that dress is beautiful on you!
I’d definitely get some sort of belt, whether with sparkle or ribbon (or both!). It will help to accentuate your figure (which is great!). Plus it allows for a little pop of interest.
And a veil could be beautiful too! Finger tip length seems like that would hit well with that dress. Shorter would probably be too short, but a fingertip length would float beautifully.
Good luck on the accessory hunt!

futuremrsr428: I love the idea of adding a belt and veil. Is there detail on the back that you do not want to hide? If there is I would stick with a belt that had both rhinestones and pearls.

The dress is beautiful! I do think a belt would really set the dress off. I actually would picture fingertip length or Knee length veil but I’m just not a fan of elbow length in general.

futuremrsr428: Dress looks beautiful on you. I’m not sure though if it needs a belt. A veil – yes for sure, at least fingertip length.

Thanks everyone!! I guess I thought a veil longer than elbow length might overwhelm me! I don’t have a picture of the back on me but I have this picture from online– the back is actually my favorite part of the dress!

I’m not sure how a belt would look since the back detail comes down so low. I think you’d end up covering up that lace part. I would have to see it. And I’m not a veil girl so I’m of no use on that end!

I think a sheer raw edge chapel or cathedral veil would look pretty! And no belt 🙂

This dress suits a ribbon sash belt much more than a sparkly one. I think the front does seem to need something (hard to tell) but the back works well either without or with a gorgeous loose tied bow trailing down the back. I’d add a champagne coloured sash.
Congrats on your dress!! 🙂

My vote is for no belt…..the dress is beautiful and I think the belt would take away from the look. And yes to a veil!

Personally I would add a belt but it looks beautiful without it too! If you have a train on your dress I wouldn’t go longer than elbow length veil because I would assume you’re getting a bussle (sp?) for the reception so no would ever get to see the train if you cover it with a long veil for the ceremony. I originally wanted a long veil but then when I saw it with my dress on I was like I can’t see the train! So I went elbow length veil. But in the end, its all about personal preference.

futuremrsr428: Your dress is beautiful! I think a sash would look great, and maybe a finger tip length veil. My dress is very similar, and I went with a finger tip length veil. I love the way it cuts. It really accentuates the dress and flows really nicely. Good luck! 🙂

futuremrsr428: I’m only a fan of belts if there’s a place for them. I don’t like the “added” look. Your figure looks great as is and I think the back detail should speak for itself. Having said that, do what makes you happy!!
