I think they look fabulous! Have never been a fan of strapless dresses πŸ™‚

I think they’re cute, but there’s something…. I dunno, off?  Maybe if the sweetheart were a little deeper, or if the cap sleeves were a little smaller (like thinner in width?)… I’m not sure.  In general though, with the straps- it looks modest without looking frumpy or matronly.  It just needs a little tweaking πŸ™‚

I also think it looks a little… off. It looks nice, but just a tad bit better without the sleeves, but thats jsut my opinion πŸ™‚

I like them, but i feel like it looks like a lot of fabric.  maybe if they were thinner, or from a more sheer fabric?  However I’m sure they will look great once you have your look put together!  Yay sleeves!

@MrsNerdy:  <— A-HA!  Genuis… that is what I was looking for.  Sheer fabric πŸ™‚  You can have them add edges of beading to match the beading in the bodice.  It would be less (?? encroaching on your neckline?  cumbersome?)… I think it would provide the support and modesty that the cap sleeves offer πŸ™‚

I really like the sleeves. They are well done and look like they were always part of the dress.

There not bad but definitely makes the dress look like a modesty gown. I would have preferred them in a sheer fabric or make them narrower.

I agree with  @risingsun:  the dress looks better with the cap sleeves. The seamstress did a great job blending them with the dress and I like that they are a bit wider, it just seems to fit well with the dress overall.

Honestly, I think it would look weird if the cap sleeves were a sheer material.

Is the first picture your actual dress, or was it the sample?  With the sleeves, it looks like the neckline is a lot higher.

I like it without the sleeves, to be honest.

Are you able to raise your arms fairly high? I’m just asking because I’m thinking of adding straps to mine, too (you just commented on my post). πŸ™‚
