Our future names are Liam Taylor (boy) or Reagan Taylor (girl)

I don’t mind Parker or Lennox. For some reason, Carlisle reminds me of someone’s weird uncle wearing an argyle sweater, so not so much a fan of that one.
Carlise it very weird to me. I can only imagine an old man who never married with that name – the oddball uncle in a family without any fashion sense.
Personally I love Lennox for a girl. There was a girl on Top Model with that name and I met a baby girl the other day with that name as well. It sounds feminine yet fierce.
I know a Parker and the name is ruined for me. It is a very popular name in my area for boys.
Dean reminds me of the bf in Gilmore Girls.
We have a couple future names picked out. We’ve always liked Dean for a boy, haha… so obviously I love that name choice of yours! ๐
For a girl we like Clara after my H grandmother, but now it’s becoming really popular so we’re not sure. I love the name Freya, but my H hates it. We both like Juniper, Juno as a nickname. We’ll be TTC in the fall so well see what pops up when we are pregnant. ๐
Parker is super cute! Not a huge fan of Lennox or Carlisle but I’m pretty traditional.
Parker is a last name.
Lennox is weird and also a last name. Looks very trendy too.
Carlisle is outdated and unattractive
When I hear your names they don’t say “unisex” to me- they all sound masciline to me. I like Carlisle a lot for a boy. I also have a unisex name myself and I hate it.
Thanks everyone for the votes and suggestions ๐
I agree that those all sound like male names instead of unisex names. My legal name is Alexandra, and I went by the unisex Alex only until grade 4. So ever since I was about 9 it’s been Allie. I think you should consider what a little girl could change those to and see if you still like them because not a lot of little girls like having boys names.
I like Alex Dean, Harper Dean, and Eli Dean.
Carlisle is pretty, but it makes me think of the town in PA where Dickinson is. Lennox and Parker are fine for boys names, but I wouldn’t give them to a girl.
– Carlisle can be Carli, Carla, or maybe even Lisla
– Lennox can be Len, Lena, or Lenni
I can’t really think of a feminine nickname for Parker though. Maybe just Deana, to play off of the middle name.
Honestly, I like all of the names OP chose for either boys or little girls. But how the child might feel about the name is definitely something to consider. So It would be nice to have some more feminine sounding nicknames in mind, if a daughter ever cares for one
I actually never thought about a girl not liking a masculine sounding name. I always have, so I unconsiously put that same fondness on my hypothetical daughter. I will definitely figure on nicknames that are more feminine. I will find out what we’re having in a few weeks, and I can make a concrete decision then.
