jellybeanjean :  I wear both my rings stack with an additional guard band, but if I was going to wear just a band I’d go for a 2 or 3 toned wide  (like 9mm) decorative band

For me a lot of it depends on how your SO feels.  I know mine saved and planned for the ring for a long tme.  I think he would be deeply hurt if I didn’t wear it regularly.  I too have not seen the point of spending $$$ on a ring if it won’t be worn.

I will wear both once I’m married. I would miss my engagement ring way too much to put it away. I love the look of it and the meaning behind it.

Do whatever you want! I see women only wearing their wedding bands quite often and I’ve always thought that it’s a very elegant look.

I’d like to wear mine as a set but I’m pregnant and two rings are a bit too uncomfortable right now so I’m only wearing my engagement ring.

    I wear both.

I know my husband would be very upset if I didn’t wear my engagement ring after the wedding, since he spent more money on it, did tons of research on diamonds, and did tons of research on the setting. My ering is also a lot more expensive then my band, so it would essentially be like wasted money if only wore it for a year from our engagement to our wedding. That seems to be a lot of wasted money.

I also had a customized band made so it would match with my ering perfectly.

Sometimes depending on what I had to do for work I will only wear my band but it’s very rare that I only wear my band.

From what I’ve seen- 80% of women only wear their band daily. Wearing both rings is kind of a status symbol here, like that woman has no job or a really koosh job like secretary, she never cleans or cooks, she’s not afraid of doing anything that would hurt the ring. Yes, I know women can always take rings off and put them back after manual labor, but it just becomes a hassle in the daily grind.

I wore both after the wedding and when I upgrade I still wear both.  With the upgrade I’d still be more likely to wear the ering than the band.

I wear my stack of 3 rings (wedding band, stacking band, e-ring) probably like 60% of the time? I have an office job and generally wear all my rings to work. Around the house, in the evenings, at the gym and the horse barn, on the weekends (unless I’m going out) I usually just wear a band (not my actual wedding band as I find it too thin to wear alone, but another band that looks substantial alone).

My Fiance spent a lot of money on my ering, and adore it.  I plan to wear it every day for the rest of my life

I want a plain band for the times I won’t be wearing my engagement ring. Especially if we’re traveling someplace slightly questionable. Otherwise I will wear both, he’s going through a lot of effort and money to make sure the ring I’m getting is one I want on my hand for the rest of my life. It would be such a waste of money to leave it sat in a jewelry box.

I’ll not be getting a band but will continue to wear my engagement ring alone.

i recently got myself a silicone band so now i sometimes wear that instead of my ring set.  I only rarely wear my actual wedding band on its own because of how thin it is–it looks bizarre and probably is a lot more likely to distort/wear out without the e-ring band right beside it.  I used to go without rings all the time though, at least around the house.. much to MILs horror.  The silicone ring is quite comfy so I’m hoping that I’ll have something on more often now.

I have a very thin (1MM) wedding band so I usually just wear that alone. My e-ring has always been a bit big and I don’t care to have it resized. My office is cold so my fingers shrink and my e-ring constantly spins all day which I find super annoying. It’s funny because today I actually put on both rings since it had been a while since I’d worn the e-ring but I wish I’d left it at home now lol. I like to wear the sparkly e-ring when going out with Darling Husband sometimes but lately I’ve just rocked the wedding band alone. I can barely tell I have something on and when I go to the gym I don’t have to worry about hurting myself or losing anything.

I usually wear both my E-Ring and Band on normal work days. Some days I mix it up and wear my turquoise band and a diamond band, or just my turquoise band. I like to have options!
