Where do you live now? One thing you might need to consider is travelling while heavily pregnant. It varies by doctor, but it’s typically not recommended to fly in the 3rd trimester. The ACOG recommends not after 36 weeks. Each airline will have its own policy as well. Of course, if you don’t have to fly and your ceremony is relatively local, no worries!

  • Wedding: November 2013 - St. Augustine Beach, FL

We go there at least twice a year for a romantic getaway.  It’s where my mom took me as a child on many weekend for mother-daughter bonding too.  We haven’t decided which beach yet because we have to actually pull a permit since we’re at 50 people.  Although Fiance really wants the “big” wedding, I would have loved to do the 10-15 person deal (ceremony and 2 nights for the married couple) at the B&Bs.  It would have made planning simpler and it would have been way cheaper.

@mrssoontobeh:  sure! It techinically wasn’t a venue, it’s one of many spots on the beach that the company we hired uses – it’s a husband and wife team http://www.tybeeislandwedding.com

For $500, they provided the officiant (It’s steven, the husband that officiates – and he is WONDERFUL!) the flowers, picked a great spot on the beach, and the photography.  They have several different photographers and they provide you with a disc of all the pictures (we had over 500!) the very next day.  They respond very quickly to any and all questions, both over the phone and through email.  They do have some options for venues other than the beach for cermonies and receptions if you’re interested in that, and they can provide you with vendors for food, hair, etc.

I LOVE St Augustine, besides Sanibel/Captiva its my favourite place in Florida, I think it’ll be very memorable and lovely.
