I prefer the first setting. It’s so clean and simplistic, the second one looks chunky to me. I have a Hearts and Arrows colorless moissy and while I absolutely LOVE it, it’s very icy at times. I think the near colorless is more “diamond like” if that is important to you.

jessicalynh :  It has never appeared to be blue. It’s almost always white but sometimes changes to almost a gray color if I am inside and in a room without any natural light. I think near colorless stones also pick up a little more color from what surrounds it when compared to the colorless stones. It will all come down to preference really. I think I would have been happy with either one though.

jessicalynh :  Many Bees have been preferring the near colorless over colorless. There are a lot of discussion of this in the last 5-6 months on various moissy threads. I also prefer near colorless over colorless in diamonds and moissy. I’m not a fan of the cold color of light in colorless stones. I like the warmer tones of near colorless.
