Scroll down to see pic of my Maid/Matron of Honor in the dress. You might get a better idea. It looks weird on the model.
Sorry if this is so huge. What do you think of this dress? I bought it for all three of my bridesmaids. The model is standing wierd but I thought it was really pretty. I thought I loved it, but one of my bridesmaids doesn’t seem thrilled. She said it doesn’t look very “bridesmiad-y”, which I’m not going for any ways. Does it look too much like a cocktail dress? There is also a slit on the side. I know I shouldn’t feel pressured, but I need opinions here!

You already bought it and it’s a nice dress. I say keep it.

@anneh1990: I think people need to know more about your wedding to judge.

It will be modern. It’s in a loft-style lounge. Not a banquest hall at all. Church ceremony, however. Have not picked out my dress, but it will be something mermaid or fit and flare (no ballgown).

@anneh1990: The dress seems very form fitting and unforgiving. Are your bridesmaids comfortable wearing something like that?

They are all pretty slim (sizes 4-10), but of course spanx would probably be worn anyways. Two of them are fairly tall as well. No one has a “gut.” There is rouching on the side which helps in the stomach region too.

Honestly, I think it looks very matronly. I see it more as a MOB dress than a bridesmaid dress.

I don’t really like it, and if I had to buy it for a wedding, I’d never wear it again.
But, it’s your wedding and it really doesn’t matter if anybody likes it but you, so if you love it, go with it.

@anneh1990: IMO I think it looks more of a formal dress for a guest. Not a bridesmaid. Do t get me wrong it’s still a pretty dress!

I think it is a very pretty and classy dress. If you like it – keep it! Through my own planning, I’m learning that you can’t always make everyone happy. It’s one thing if your Bridesmaid or Best Man didn’t like it because it was too revealing or made her feel uncomfortable – but not liking it because it doesn’t look ‘bridesmaidsy’ enough doesn’t seem like a valid enough reason for you to switch the dress in my opinion.

I think it’s pretty, but you need to be a size 6 or less to pull it off.

If any of the girls are busty, the way the left boob is “framed” with the crisscross detail is going to look really bad. At least have them try the dresses on. If they look good on the girls keep them, if not then find something else.
