Your Bridesmaid or Best Man does look great in it. Personslly I hate “bridesmaidy” dresses and made a point of buyingy girls dresses from the high street

Looks nice, I like that they don’t look like typical bridesmaid dresses but they do look a bit formal and/or MOB-ish to me… Not so much that you couldn’t pull it off though.

You could have them add accessories that make it a bit more “young”, so to speak (if they’re worried about it looked MOB-ish). A fashion-forward necklace would look great and might help them feel more comfortable. There are a lot of really cool and awesome-looking jewelry that could take it from conservative to chic…

Also, after the wedding they could get it hemmed (it would be really cheap!) to be a shorter dress above the knee, that would make more versatile as a little black dress for other events (christmas parties, etc etc) that they could use it for. Not sure if it would work as a shorter dress but in my head it looks good! hah

@anneh1990:  TBH I think it’s going to be really hard to find something they all love. For $60 each if I were them I’d be happy it was so economical (and I’d love that it was black).  They could also shorten it later if they want to rewear and woiudn’t wear a gown.

I know you’re trying to make everyone happy but look at it this way: the absolute WORST case scenario is that someone is paying $60 to wear a dress for one day that they’re less than thrilled with. Judging from personal experience and from the threads on this board, most people pay at least twice that amount with the same result.  And I’m sure you’ve got at least one or two BMs who do like the dress.

@anneh1990:  I think it looks great. Yeah it’s not the typical pastel colour dress – I think it’s much better and could definitely be worn again. Plus, you can’t go wrong with $60.

I think it is very pretty and VERY classy. Sounds like it will mesh well with your modern wedding. Keep it! (Plus the low cost is a huge bonus!)
