I’m not into dresses with bottoms like that but I do think it is a pretty dress.

I wouldn’t wear the strap on the one shoulder because when I tried them on they made me feel shorter and I’m 5’11”!

I tried on this dress and honestly the bottom is what got me. I kept turning my head at it like a dog hearing a whistle. It’s like it doesn’t fit with the rest of it.  I think if it was one tier it wouldn’t be an issue. My sister had suggested having them tuck the top straight layer in order to change the way it looked, but they I found the dress I actually wore, and so I didn’t have to do that.

I feel like this dress has every single current trend going on in one dress:  pick ups, ruffles, one shoulder, fit and flare, ruching, corset, draping… to me, this is way too much.  But WHO CARES WHAT I THINK!!  you know?  You love it?  Hunt it down and try it on.  Buy it if you love it!

I completely agree with this poster in regard to her saying it has a lot of trendy things going on, BUT moreso I agree with the fact that it doesn’t matter what we think!  If you love it, then go for it!

@vicozzie: I don’t think it makes you look short! I can tell you are way tall.

I like the one you chose originally. I like the way the pick-ups stop before the bottom. It makes the dress look less like a down comforter like the pick-up crazy ones do!

After seeing the modeling photo you posted, I like the second gown, personally.

@vicozzie: If I’ve understood it right, I like your dress, the one with the jewel detail.

@vicozzie:  Yep, love the one you’re in, WAY more than the model pic.  If you want to make the skirt more ‘interesting’, have you considered a colored crinoline?  Even if you go dark ivory or dusty rose pink or something it’ll make a huge change!  It doesn’t have to be bright red or anything.

i’m not crazy about pickups and I dont see them as a “current” trend. But overall the dress is nice. i prefer it without the one shoulder strap

I like the 2nd dress better.
