My sister and I have been deciding on a wedding set (for her) and think we have it picked out. Wanted to get some other opinions since we are dizzy from looking at rings. =)
Yellow Gold, 1 ct Round Amora Moiss, Bands are just under 3mm each, size 5 finger…
Do the Bees think we have a winner??? lol Opinions on setting, stone size, etc, are welcome.
Anyone have this set (or similar) by chance to see real pics?
Thanks for looking.

For my taste, there’s too much going on. Too much diamond action and I’m not a fan of the swirling wedding band design. I know it’s that way to accomodate the engagement ring, but it’s just too much for my taste. Sorry.
But, if it’s what your sister likes, then that’s all that matters!

Very pretty! It looks very feminine and bridal. I personally love white gold but if yellow is her style then that is great and Im sure it will look great in either. I think 1ct is perfect and I would not go any larger for a size 5 finger…good choice girls 🙂

Not a fan. The gold around the stones is so thick, and I don’t care for the double contoured band.
Tell us what she really likes about it, and maybe we can make suggestions? IS it the channel set stones, is it the three stone style? Does she specifically want a contoured set?
This one is a similar style, but the band can be worn on it’s own,
And if it’s the contour style she likes, this one is much more delicate

@MissNoodles: Thanks but really dont like either of those.
First one, is a similar design to our choice, which you didnt like..but it has much more going on with the big stones on the W-band. It also looks to be just about as thick.
Second one you listed looks like an old lady ring. And you say its delicate but it looks very gaudy. And the Engagement Ring is over 5mm by itself..thats huge for a size 5 finger.
@BetterSherm: I know your Engagement Ring post was talking about your friends calling it a “pebble” bc it was so plain and small. Do you have a pic of your ring so I can get an idea of what your style is?

@jennypop: Wow, you have an excellent memory!
I’m not into “bling,” so this does have something to do with my response to the ring in question.

I too personally prefer white gold, but we’re all different. It is a bit thick, but does your sister have long fingers? if so, maybe it’s not that bad. it’s slightly busy for my taste. Too bad we didn’t have a pic on someone finger. sometimes it’s hard to tell if you really like something from the web pics. it always looks different on.

@jennypop: The engagement ring is pretty, but I don’t care for the set together…I’d rather have a flat band with a gap, but that’s me.
@MissNoodles: I love both of those! The second one looks beautiful, and I hate bands that aren’t flat! I need to stay off of this site, because I always want something new LOL.

I think it is really hard to tell from the stock images – definitely see if you can find a real life picture of it or order it and check it out (as long as there is a decent return policy!)

@BetterSherm: Thanks. Now those are some “delicate” rings…very simple and very pretty. They are on the small/plain side compared to her style, so I can see why you wouldnt like the ring we posted lol.

@jennypop: “Second one you listed looks like an old lady ring”
Agreed actually… I find contoured sets to be a very dated look in general… just trying to throw some options out there since it seems to be what your sister wants.

@jennypop: For me it’s too busy and I really dislike curved bands because of how they look alone. I’d prefer one center stone and some diamonds if need be but in the end what matters is that you like it.

Since you asked for opinions, I don’t like it all. It looks very bulky and, TBH, manish to me. Sorry.

The blending of the prongs AND bezely-things AND channel (?) settings is way too much for my taste. I’d be like “pick a team!” lol, what kind of setting do you want to be? Too much going on, I think it is ugly. Also it will be relatively thick for a size 5 finger, but then I wear a 6mm plain band and love it (size 5-5.5 finger).
The wedding band bumps look like boobies. /-:
Rings look much better with no more than two different types of settings (e.g., prongs with pave).
HOWEVER, the only opinion that matters is your sisters. If she loves it, she should go for it. All us ladies saying it’s ugly can go jump in a creek lol.

I like the e-ring but the band bothers me for some reason…
But if she loves it tell her to go for it
