I’ve been married 20 years and still watch our video every couple of years. I’m very glad to have it. Parts are cringeworthy, but it’s just for our viewing, no one else’s. It catches a lot of things the photographer doesn’t. I recommend it, but as with all things I guess it depends on cost.

I wasn’t going to have one or I thought we might do one just for the ceremony, but my DJ convinced me to look at them because he said that his wife and him watch the video more than they look at the photos and that people love to see the video when they visit. I think it is an amazing idea to have live action documentation of your day. A picture can’t help you to clearly remember your bridal party speeches, your emotion during your vows or relive how you felt during your first dance. I think it is worth it. And there are a lot of videographers that are reasonably priced. You just have to search a bit. We sprung for a more expensive one who does more cinematic movies of the day, but that is only because we fell in love with her style.

I figure, your spending all this money, time and emotion to make a beautiful day and it will go by so fast. With a video, you can relive it everyday if you want to.
