Do you think this dress could do with a hoop at all? I was even thinking maybe just a round of boning through the lining to keep it off my legs? I dont want it to stick out much more, its more just being held away from my legs a bit

Hmm you might try a very light crinoline, but I’m not sure how much room there is to “poof” up your dress, since it seems pretty fitted. I see what you mean though!

Yea, I think I just need that bit of “substance” to the hem, to give it a bit more support? Especially since I dont want it to be between my legs while walking
Would like others opinions too though before I make up my mind – I’ve got til the 5th of June before I go to my dressmaker for alterations

I agree, just a light crinoline should do the trick!

I may actually whip one up myself, and put boning in the hem of that, see how it looks. Nothing to lose by doing that!

You could always get crinoline for a mermaid style dress. Then it’s made to only poof at the bottom.

I would wear a slip with your dress, it will keep the material off your legs without poofying out your dress.
