My partner and I have narrowed down to how we are going to decorate/style our wedding, but id like to have some honest opinions and suggestions on what we are doing to make sure everything matches. ive been looking at these inspiration photos for a while now, as as you know its kind of hard to step back and get the real picture. so id like honest opinions as to what else to add or change to make our decore come together!
Here is a few pics to give the idea:
we are going to have white chairs, white aisle runner with a DIY petal runner down each side. undecided on what color the petals will be. either purple or white witha bit of purple. Opinions please?
keeping with the white/silver/purple theme we will have a DIY white petal table runner with a mix of tea light candles and big candles down the centre of the tables. similar to this:
our tables will be long.
outside we have a balcony that goes around 3/4 of the room. so i like the idea of having candle luminaries around the edge of the balcony, on the floor:
the BMs dress’s will be similar to this but without the black ribbon and a tad shorter
the girls will also have a parasol and a corsage. at this stage im thinking they will have a fabric flower instead of a real flower 🙂
i think thats it for now, let me know if there is anything i missed that will help!

I think your ideas sound great. I love that you are keeping it simple with the white and purple too. I think your ceremony would look beautiful with white and purple petals down the aisle. and i always love white chairs for outdoor weddings (i’m also planning an outdoor wedding). I think your reception idea is beautiful too. I love the candles with the petals around them and the purple will give just the right burst of color and “pop” in the room. And I absolutely love the candle luminaries. I think they will look amazing. They look so great in that picture. And the bridesmaids dresses are lovely too. I like how they are very flowy. But you might still want to add a sash or ribbon even if you don’t want to do it in black. I think it helps to define the waist and makes the dress look much nicer on different body types.
Good luck with your wedding!

Have you ever seen an aisle runner in action? The one wedding I went to with an aisle runner, it was all messed up looking after the first person walked down it. Then people kep catching their heels on it and it kept getting even more messed up. I have heard of brides having two ushers or groomsmen roll it out just before she walks down the aisle, so that it doesn’t get super messed up.

@JoJo Bananas: we will have just plain white carpet with the petals down the sides, so it shouldnt get under our feet.
Oh and a bubble machine for the end of the ceremony? Reckon thatll look allright? Its abut more festive than soft and romantic. I dont like the idea of petals or confetti thrown incase it gets stuck to my hair!
@goldie602: thaks or the tip on the waist band, might consider white or silver depending what shade of dress we go for…
Is there anything i should add to give it the WOW factor, dont want to be too plain and simple 🙂
