- Wedding: November 2012
So I thought that with only 68 days left until my wedding, it would be a great idea to add teal to my wedding colors. From day one, I knew I wanted purple and lavender. We went to Davids bridal and ordered Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses in regency, with freesia wraps. That’s a done deal. Well after that I couldn’t find those exact shades everywhere, so my colors quickly became dark purple, and light purple with various shades. I have dark purple and light purple flower petals, jewels for the tables, my flowers are in dark purple and light purple, except for my bouquet. I have dark and light purple ribbon to tie my programs together. I also have hearts going on. There were double hearts on my invitations. I have white favor boxes with purple hearts. My cocktail napkins are light purple with darkpurple foil, our names, date and double hearts. I have purple double heart kiss labels. I DIY’d votives with dark purple glitter. Then I decided to add some white birch in the mix (because we take trees down. so the wood is free. I’m taking birchdiscs sanding them down, burning table numbers into them, then filling the table numbers with glitter. I am also using white birch to hold my escort cards. My Fiance is wearing a.white tux, with lavender vest and long tie. GM’s are wearing black tuxes with dark purple vests and long ties. I believe their bouts are a light purple rose. So I was thinking of adding teal. I wanted more votives, I could make them in teal. Maybe add teal jewels to the tables? Maybe use teal glitter instead of purple on my table numbers? Maybe add teal to my escort cards and programs? Maybe change the guys vests and ties to teal? Maybe just leave it alone? Oh I was also planning on purple uplighting. And i have white flower petals to go with the purples. Help me please! i need opinions bad!!
