Hi guys! i’m working on my invitation suite and can’t decide which one looks better. Our colors are black and white stripes, pink and gold. I’m having a hard time fitting in the gold as i went a little pink heavy. I plan to have gold glitter envelope liners, but I can’t decide where to place the gold matting. what do you think? sorry about the pic being so grainy.

The pink is too much for me. It would look more polished with a black envelope and a touch of pink in the print. This looks more like something bachelorette-ish than wedding. Also, I would change the font of “Their wedding day” if you can. It looks very similar to comic sans, something I use in my kindergarten classroom.

i think the second one looks great!!

I like the top one with maybe a black card on the right?

symple246: I like the top version, with the gold aginst the black and white.

The gold under the black and white seems a bit busy. I like the second.

symple246: I hate being so brutally honest, but both of these seem really busy to me. I think the pink is a bit much, and the black and white stripes as a border on the right just hurts my eyes a bit.
I think they would look a lot more classy with a black envelope with the gold envelope liner. Then on the right have a gold gold border around the invite, with pink as your highlight/wording colour (as it is now). On the right include a smaller pink envelope for RSVPs and the cards that you have.

Between those, I’d say the top. But maybe if you went with black like other people were sugesting with pops of pink and gold it would look nicer. And it would still match your wedding but people would be pleasantly surprised to see that there’s more pink than black in your wedding 🙂

symple246: I love pocket fold invitations! Your suite looks great. Did you get them from Cards and Pockets?
Personally, I like the gold mat under the invite- it looks a bit out of place under the enclosures and it may clash with the RSVP envelope (unless it’s the same kind of paper).
P.S. I don’t think your font looks like Comic Sans at all 🙂

symple246: I prefer the top version…but I do think it’s looking a little busy. Perhaps you could use the gold just in the envelope liner? Or use the gold to back each of your inserts? Also, the stripes are a cool idea, but getting lost a bit in the background. Maybe you could use the gold instead of the stripes as the backing for your main invite, and use stripes in the envelope liner?
