- Wedding: January 2011
I wrote in the past about having a tough time finding a wedding band to match my e-ring without a gap and in the end decided to wait and used my e-ring for our quickie ceremony we had this past Saturday. (AHH I’m married!!)
In the craziness of planning our last minute ceremony we ordered my DH’s band online… it didn’t fit and being Cobalt couldn’t be re-sized. When returning it in-store yesterday, my Darling Husband and I were browsing wedding bands for myself and found one that I really didn’t mind with my e-ring. I thought we were ready to walk out with a new band BUT to make a long story short…. ended up leaving the store with the new band in question PLUS a new e-ring.
Darling Husband picked the new e-ring out all by himself and had me try it on. I thought it was pretty, but was still so attached to my original ring (still am). He was proud as punch to have selected the ring by himself, as he had my help with the first ring, and is totally in love with it. He was just oozing pride the cutie! Also as a little background, he is not at all impressed with our original jeweler or how my e-ring has stood up to the test of time over the short 3.5months I’ve had it (diamond chip fell out but will be repaired under warranty, and they did a crap job sizing it). So, after much deliberation he convinced me to have my stone re-set and I walked out with a brand new ring on my hand.
So its a day later… and I can’t decide if I’m 100% content with the decision. My main hesitation is having spent the extra money on a new setting and I’m not sure if the e-ring’s shank is too big for me, and last I truly loved my first ring. On the flip side, it is soo adorable how proud he is of this new ring, and he does make a good point re: quality of my old ring.
Which ring do you bees thinks is better suited? First pics are new, second are original. (Sorry for crappy pics… phone camera)
