ok. i hope someone can still help me even though i can’t figure out for the life of me how to rotate the 3rd picture (i tried)..
summary of events: the first two pictures are of me in my dress without the pins and all that. only the chest area is a little big, because i am not gifted in that department. i love how it looks. i thought the seamstress will just put in cups and take it in a little, and voila, it will look the same.. but look at the 3rd picture… does it look the same? the neckline looks a little lower than the first two pictures? i dont know it could just be me.. and does it look like it’s too straight? should it be tighter around the hips?
i will welcome all the feedback, bec i asked to hold all alterations until i come back again with my mom this time (i only brought my cousin w/ me on this first fitting). what should i say to the seamstress to get the results i want?
thanks in advance!

Well it looks the same to me, it may look different in the pics because your holding in the first two pictures, and the angle of the pics are different. I would just trust the seamstress to alter it to fit your body, since I’m sure she knows how to do so better then we do!
ps.. The drss is STUNNING on you!!! I love how happy you look in it.

@garlandlygil: Firstly, your dress is gorgeous as are you! You look so happy! I see what you mean about it looking lower. Perhaps cause like you said it’s a bit big up top still? And You look petite so it looks like it can be a bit tigher around the waist area? Hip area? But with the right alterations, it’s going to be perfect! Congrats and good luck!

@garlandlygil: You are so pretty and so cute (love the smiles). As for alterations:
- I think you need to take the bodice in more. That will help more with the “straight-look” fit that you want to avoid.
- Definitely have your seamstress pull the dress up a bit, and then take it in (as it is sitting much lower than the first photo).
- It does seem too big around your hips. So, I would have her fix that, as well. 🙂

@MlleFabuleux: thanks! i will have the seamstress do that when i come in again. and maybe these pictures will help?
question in general: has any of you bring in a printed picture of how you want your dress to fit or lay and left it to your seamstress for her reference?

@garlandlygil: I get dresses custom made regulalry, and I definitely bring in photos of what I ultimately want it to look like. I think having a photo and explaining
exactly what you want would help the seamstress when she’s altering it. 🙂

@garlandlygil: Lovely dress! it’s really pretty on you already and I’m sure more alterations will make it perfect.
I agree with the PPs that it needs to be nipped in more around the waist and hips, and also lifted up a little higher.
