Just looking for opinions on this dress… I am an older bride and we are having a more casual affair. I tend to dress in hippie/india inspired clothes and, although this seems more vintage, thought it might work. We are getting married in January, so I’d be throwing on some kind of faux fur wrap. What do you think?

Although you haven’t posted the front, I really like it and think it look kind of hippie-ish. But I think you should choose whatever dress you like no matter your age or casualty of the wedding. You love what you love.

I like it – it’s quite unique yet understated for your affair. I don’t think I’m in love with the spaghetti straps though, they aren’t really doing anything positive for that dress.

I thought the same thing, so my plan was to add some straps… wouldn’t have thought of it myself… saw them do it on Say Yes to the Dress!

I am also and older bride, and I love it. I would probably see what it looks like with a sweetheart neckline though. I think it would fit perfectly with what you have stated.

I’m new to this site so it took me a while to figure out how to get the photo into the post. 🙂 Thanks for all the great comments… guess I’ll see how I feel about when it arrives (yes, I’m ordering it online…yikes!).

I love it! If you’ve got a smaller frame, I think the straps will be fine. However, if you’re larger — particularly if you’re large busted — you might want thicker ones. My only real concern is that it’s very summery. For a May-September wedding, I think it’s perfect. I’m not sure how it will work in January. Still, it’s really beautiful…
