JLFinch:  I think the most I got was three. But my friend used them and had at least 10 days in a row of High and she got pregnant that month (possibly since she kept BDing waiting for O?)

I think I hit double digits for flashing smileys a couple of times. I finally switched to the regular digital OPK’s cause I couldn’t take it anymore! Good luck, hope you get your solid soon!

I’m thinking of trying the digital ones next.  I am using the regular ones and it selike I have two similiarly colored light lines for days on end.  I’m thinking I’ll see that damn flashing smiley for a good amount of days too.  Good luck on seeing a solid smiley soon!

JLFinch:  Dont feel too bad the last cycle I had 20 days of “high” fertility before my peak and the month before that I had 12 days of “high” fertility before my peak.  For whatever reason I have 1 day at low fertility and then I’m at “high” until I get my peak.  It was super frustrating at first until I started to understand my cycle and now I can kind of expect how long things are going to go.

This is my first cycle using clearblue advanced digital. After 5 days of Low I finally got a flashing smile this morning. I’ll update if it goes solid.

What day in your cycle did you start testing?

JLFinch:  When you use a new reader, it always starts the first day as “low”.

The advanced saves previous day’s information, so it will always start out low until it has more information. Flashing smileys are an indication of rising estrogen, which is why some people have more flashing smileys than others…it really isn’t telling you anything useful about LH.

JLFinch:  I wonder if it will stay flashing if you miss your peak?

JLFinch:  Same deal for me! My cycles are like 34-39 days and I always felt nervous starting OPK’s late so had lots of flashing smileys. My RE actually recommended using the regular digitals instead of the advanced for anyone doing fertility treatments and they definitely drove me less crazy.
