Hi ladies so I brought some online opk and used the first one today ! The pic attached is what it came out like! Now I dont think its quite there but what do you think ladies who’ve used these? Also..
I am only CD6, is this a normal result for CD6? Or a little early! We have been trying for 2 months without joy but im wondering now if I ov earlier than my tracker says and this is why we have had no luck?
Total newbie here looking for a little guidance and expert opinion
Thanks ladies xxxx

@Mrs.M.2.B: I agree that it’s not quite positive yet. CD6 seems early, but it’s not impossible. Did you use FMU? That could be why it’s so dark. Afternoon urine is best for OPKs. It gives a more true result!

@Mrs.M.2.B: it’s pretty close to positive. CD6 is early but when you get a positive, it means you’ll ovulate within the next 48 hours so you wouldn’t be ovulating on CD6 this cycle. i’ve O’d as early as CD11. since it’s close to being positive, start having sex now. that way you won’t miss your window.

I honestly think you are still far too early to get a positive at CD6 or CD7, I think you’re still gearing up. Leading up to O there sometimes is no consistency with lines getting progressively darker, they can get a bit darker, lighter again and then BAM a positive. Some people do get a gradual fade in to a postiive where the lines get darker and darker each day, but this isn’t always the case – definitely wasn’t for me.
I’d keep testing twice a day as of CD10 if you can, do second urine of the day and then your regular 5:30pm. I would suspect if you have regular 28 day cycles you’ll see a positive anywhere around CD12-CD14…. just keep in mind you can miss the surge, i only ever got positive OPK’s around 2:30 in the afternoon and would have negatives the same day all urines before and after that one, so it was really easy for me to miss.
Again, at CD6 or CD7 I think it’s too early to get a positive. Keep testing and see what happens over the next week.

You are still not there. Just because the next day is lighter does not make the previous day positive. That isn’t how they work. You typically have small amounts of LH present in your system all through your cycle. I agree with StaceyA and say start closer to Day 10. Keep testing 2x a day.
Here is a pic of a positive OPK: Notice the test line is DARKER than the control line.

@Mrs.M.2.B: I think that your Darling Husband needs to replenish his swimmer supply, so once a day should cover it! (Though I’m not a doctor!)
