I got the OPK ones on amazon that are in a bag that looks like the alphabet threw up all over it haha. They work great, super accurate, good price, and i can tape them into my journal to track my cycles. They also have pregnancy HGC testing strips I got as well to use when we start TTC this cycle.

chillbee29 :  haha yeah i knew i didn’t have to give you a link because its so obvious which one that is.

I kept a journal and taped in my tests. I found that helpful to see the line get darker and darker or lighter as my cycle continued. I would write the cycle day # and the date and then tape the test. I started on cycle day 6 or 7 and took one once a day in the evening and taped it in. Both months i got my ovulation line super dark around day 14-15. I then starred that date in my journal and wrote ovulation. I then kept taking the tests each day to see when that dark line went away again. Probably until i saw the line disappear or until it was day 20.

If you are really starting from knowing not much about your cycle or you have a very short cycle or very long one, you can start testing OPK’s as soon as your period ends and go until you see the ovulation line. Some people test twice a day. I might start testing twice a day this cycle as we are now officially TTC and i want it to happen asap lol. Along with doing that testing you can check other “signs” your body gives for ovulation. I get headaches, lots of people look at their cervical mucus. Oh and we got that lubication called preseed which you can also get on amazon.

chillbee29 :  I’ve used both Wondfo and Easy at Home without any issues. My doctor told me not to test until CD 10 and then only until you get a positive since you can get multiple days of positives. However, some people do have multiple LH surges and the only way to confirm ovulation is temping. FWIW, I don’t ovulate until CD 19-21 typically.

I also used Wondfo – started around cd10 and tested around 11 in the morning after about a 2 hr hold. The progression in the strips each day was pretty obvious for me

I always used wondfos.  I love them I used them twice a day starting at about CD8, and twice a day as I knew I was getting closer to O.  I typically O’d around 11-13dpo, so I would get a positive as early as 10dpo.

I highly recommend temping to confirm O so you’re never left wondering when you actually O.

mrsssb :  I also use these! They are great! Very easy to read and easy to use.

OP for reference I have a 33 day cycle predicted to ovulate between CD 18-20 but tbh because I am not temping I start POS around CD10! I can pretty much tell when I am about to ovulate from my body but I just want to be sure as I am not temping.

I used to start around CD 10, twice later on in the day (after 3pm).

I used easy at home and loved it. I came off birth control in May of this year, didn’t get a period in June, so I started using the OPKs mid July and used them until I got a positive. Easy at home has a free app called premom where you can take pics of the tests and the app determines which day your “peak” is and estimates ovulation to occur the day after the peak. I had a 34 day cycle after I got my period back from July to August, so I put that in the app and it accurately predicted my fertile window for September. We actively tried that month and I used OPKs during said predicted fertile window and was able to time BD accordingly and we ended up conceiving that cycle! I used the OPK twice (once in early afternoon, once in evening) on the day before predicted ovulation and it clearly peaked in the afternoon one and had started going down on the evening one. The app assigns a value to the darkness of each stick (not sure how) but I’d say it was pretty accurate seeing as how we BD’d in that window, also did the next day on predicted O day. I also love the app as it was easy to use and I can’t imagine saving a stick I dipped into my pee to compare the progression lol. The sticks definitely look different after they dry so I liked that I could see how they looked after the 3 min window but fresh in the photos the app lets you save them to.

There are also HCG strips in the pack I had which gave me a positive on 10 DPO. I’m currently 15 weeks pregnant and will absolutely use easy at home for whenever we want to concieve again.
