I’ve been using Up and Up (Target’s generic brand) OPKs. The directions say to use FMU. My FMU is always positive. Later in the day it’s always negative, with the exception of the day before FF thinks I probably O’d based on temps (though some of my fertility signs are conflicted…). So I guess I’m a little frustrated/confused… I’ve read elsewhere NOT to use FMU because LH surges in the AM and won’t be detected in your urine until later in the day. I wonder if my FMU is just so concentrated that the LH in it is enough to register as positive on these OPKs(?) Maybe this brand is not reliable? Any insight?

I’ve also read not to use FMU, actually because it is more concentrated – you have some level of LH in your urine for awhile before ovulation, but you get a positive when it reaches a high enough level (your LH surge). If your urine is super concentrated, it can give you a false positive.

I used the wondfos for first time this cycle. They said to use any urine. I tested at 10a/10p. I was away the weekend I got my first positive and I could test on my regular schedule. I got a very close positive at 4pm then the next morning at 7am a clear positive. I took that as the right one.
Since it sounds like you take your temp, I would go by that instead of the opks. Maybe try a different brand next time.
