ajillity81:  Maybe keep testing for a couple of days, just in case. I got two positives last month (day 7 and day 14) and only found out after that, that, from my OBGYN  you get two surges. I knew from my temps and O pains that the real O was after day 14. Do you temp? It can be very informative.

ajillity81:  Hi! I had two surges when my cycle days ranged 40-50 days. I’ve started taking Fertilitea to help regulate my cycle and now I’m seeing 34-35 day cycles. When I did have two surges, I didn’t know that the second one occurred until my temp confirmed it. It’s a bit tricky because you’re not temping, so I would suggest continue using OPKs until you feel safe that you’ve O’d. Do you have O symptoms? Pinching or dull abdomen pain?

ajillity81:  When I was using OPKs my cycles were 27 days, and I got my positive OPKs on CD 12. The month I got my BFP I got a positive OPK on CD13 and we had BD on CD 9-13 every day. Based on your cycle length and when you got your positive I would assume that you have O’d. If your cycles were typically longer, I would recommend continuing to test for a second surge, but having a positive on CD 13 with a cycle length of 24-27 days is pretty consistent with that indicating when you will O. Sometimes I will continue to test for one or two days to make sure the lines start getting lighter and I’m not having a long surge, but I don’t think you need to keep testing for another week.

ajillity81:  It sounds to me like you ovulated, and BD on Fri Sat and Sun would be excellent timing- I wouldn’t BD again right away unless you feel like it, however, I’d say to BD every third day for the nest week or so just in case (that’s what I would have done in your shoes). I used OPKs but kept up an every third day just in case and I did get pregnant. Best of luck to you!!!
