Hi ladies. Here is a little history: I’ve had PCOS and was on BC for the last 3 months to attempt to regulate my horomone a. My DH and I went to an appt with my obgyn to see about what steps would need to be taken to conceive when that time comes. She told me to get my body ready by stopping the BC, starting prenatals, and prescribed metformin. She told me to start tracking my BBT and this is my first month doing so. I am also coming off a long cycle, so I have been adding the OPKs. I haven’t started metformin because I’m nervous of the side effects… So we agreed to see what happens this cycle without it.
I got these OPKs from target and they don’t seem as definitive in the control line as others I’ve seen in here. Does this look like a positive to you ladies?

It looks close, I would try again a couple hours after, I don’t think it’s positive just yet.

It looks like an almost positive. LH surges happen towards the afternoon, so I would re-test then and see if you get a clearer result.

It looks positive to me, although as you said the control line looks a lot lighter than the wondfo’s I’ve used.

I’d say yes, or close to it. Mine never got as dark as the control line, but started getting lighter the next day. Now that I’m 5DPO, I can definitely confirm it was my positive. I think some people’s surge is short and easy to miss.

BeeLadylike: Yep! I would say positive! Similiar to PP, my lines never got as dark as the control, and that is supposed to mean it is negative. I am 9 weeks pregnant now, so I know it was my positive!

I’m so confused now. I tested 24 hrs later and no second line 🙁 Did I miss my window?

BeeLadylike: I’d have said that was a positive! If you think you’ve missed it, it means you’ve already ovulated whereas the last test showed you were about to ovulate. The best advice someone gave me on a TTC thread was to test three times a day.

BeeLadylike: Positive tests mean you’ll ovulate in the next 24-48 hours, so BD today and tomorrow!

BeeLadylike: That one was super close to +. It’s possible that just a couple hours later you could have had an obvious +, or maybe not. Your LH surge could just be really short, but some people never get a complete + and still ovulate. But I was going to ask the same thing as the PP, what CD are you on? For me, some months I get close to an almost + like that one then go negative for almost a week and then I get a very + one. I would continue to chart your temps to see if you get a temp shift. And also, are you checking CM and cervical position along with OPKs and temps? For me, checking those is what lead me to test after I thought I already got a + because I still had tons of EWCM. Do you use Fertility Friend to chart? If not, I would highly suggest it because it’s easy to share your chart on here to get more advice.
