@mysticgrace:  you should probably look into temping. That way you know for sure 100% when you ovulated/if you’re ovulating. opk’s can be far from easy to read sometimes and fairly vague as to when you ovulate exactly.

@mysticgrace:  that’s what I do I use it to verify what’s going on with my chart. I set a repeating alarm on my phone for like 6am (a time I know I will rarely have to wake up before) and take it then. Also as long as you have 4 hours of sleep you should be good. There are a lot of ladies on here that chart and you can probably get better answers from them. here’s the thread we chat on and discuss things

@mysticgrace:  from what i’ve heard, PCOS can make using OPKs difficult – i believe you get either longer surges or multiple surges, or maybe don’t get positives at all???! I’m sure someone will correct me here!!

If you really want to see what is happening in your cycle, i’d temp – most people get a fairly reliable chart if they temp at the same time everyday, even if they don’t get a full night’s sleep…as long as you’ve been in bed, resting, with no movement, etc.

good luck!!

@mysticgrace:  Yeah, actually i started using it last month, because i was afraid that i wasnt O’ing.  Darling Husband and i have been having uprontected sex since August, but really TTC since October, but because those 2 months having sex without protection and not getting preggos, i thought there was something wrong like maybe i wasnt ovulating at all…i hear this can happen, so i started using opks at the end of my november cycle and i did ovulate, so it was a relief that way.  Try it for peace of mind and like you said you can also give this info to your md and take it from there. GL 🙂
