I never tested more then once a day, but I have heard some ladies getting negative in the am, possitive in the pm, and neg the next am. I just used the cheapest ones I could find, because it does get expensive! But I also could tell by signs that my body was going to ovulate (or should be!), and then we would just BD every other day around that time. Good luck!

I’ve had the best luck testing mid-afternoon, but I do test multiple times a day if I think I’m right around ovulation. I buy from early-pregnancy-tests.com, but I know they’re not the cheapest. I guess you can buy wandfos on amazon for less. 🙂

I was using the Wondfos from Amazon, and then once I got a positive, I confirmed it with a smiley face digital. FYI, I don’t know if you have a Big Lots near you, but they have packs of 3 digital (Pregnant/Not Pregnant) tests for $6…at least the stores around here.

As for how often to test, I tested with both FMU and then again later in the afternoon.

First, big hugs to you, as I know TTC this long is super frustrating and emotional.

Second, I discovered I had a pretty short surge (less than 24 hours) so I needed to test multiple times a day to catch it.  I used a digital Clear Blue Easy smiley test in the morning (if I got a positive, confirmed with a wandfo from amazon) and in the afternoon I used a wandfo around 2, 6, and 10 p.m.  If I got what I thought was a positive (those tests are so darn hard to interpret!) I confirmed with a digital test.  It seems like a lot of testing and it was.  This past month, I got negatives on a Saturday, then happened to wake up at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday and got a postive followed by postivies at 12 p.m. and 8 p.m. Sunday.  By Monday morning, my tests were negative again.
