My cycle is 29-31 days so I start on CD 10 and do them around noon. If it’s really light or almost not visible, I only do one a day. But  once they start to darken up I’ll do one around 11 AM and another around four or 5 PM.  After using them for a while you’ll start to see your own Pattern of your OPKs  and when you actually Ovulate. For example for me I will get three days of positive OPK‘s and I will actually ovulate on the third day. I use the clinical guard cheapies from Amazon.

My cycle was 26-28 days, so I’d start on CD 8 and test once a day until around CD11, when I’d start testing twice a day. I usually got a positive somewhere between CD12-15 and would ovulate on that same day (confirmed by temping). I found that on the day of my positive OPK, the line would suddenly be a lot darker in the morning, but it wouldn’t be truly positive until the afternoon/evening. I often had a short surge (12 hrs or so), so needed to test twice a day to be sure I didn’t miss it. I used the Clinical Guard cheapies from Amazon.

mrslauralou :  I have a book that I tape them too so I can compare and monitor. It’s helpful to me!

mrslauralou :  Yeah I would just tape them to a piece of paper to track progression. There’s also an app you can use to store photos of them – but I deleted it after I got pregnant and am blanking on what it’s called. I’m sure you could google “opk tracker app” or something and find it though!

And yes, it def takes a couple cycles to figure out what your body’s “normal” is. Goood luck!

pinkcorsage :  I just started using Glow… I noticed there is no option for “wondfo” or the ICs. My question is, what do you set your brand to? Or do you just put in “other” and take the pic?

Thanks!

DrAtkins :  I think I clicked other for the first time but now I just take a picture.  Of course glow recommends the First Response brand and I don’t have all that money to keep buying those lol
