(Closed) OPKs while breastfeeding?

I haven’t been using OPK’s for pretty long, but I don’t think they would nessecarily work to help prevent pregnancy. You get a positive test when you will be ovulating in 24-36 hours, but sperm can live up till 72 hours. So if you have sex before the positive OPK there is still a high chance of pregnancy.

My sister tried using opk’s with nfp when she was breastfeeding.  I now have a fantastic 2yr old niece and a 9 month old nephew. Whoops!
