I chose the colors pumpkin, plum, and charcoal – when I tell others who ask what my wedding colors are, the usual response is — “that’s interesting”.
I am a busy bee in the summer with work so I have been trying to get my October wedding planned before the summer…and I wanted to show off my progress!
Purple dresses, Orange and charcoal ties with charcoal suits, my dad is building this exact alter for the ceremony looking out on the viniards, these lanterns in charcoal are going to line the ceremony isle and are incorporated into the centerpeices, and our flowers will be orange roses with purple stock!!
It looks great – right?!!?
Let me know if you have any other recommendations! I got 75% of my ideas off of the bee!

Looks great! My colors are dark purple and burnt orange. ๐ I like the charcoal for an accent color. I’m thinking of doing apple green, myself, but I’m stuck on how to incorporate it.

The apple green sounds very cool!
I am excited… now I am stuck on how to incorporate all colors into the centerpeices.
We are doing one tall centerpeice with branches, the small lanterns hanging from the branches, and an assortment of fallish things in the bottom of the vase ( small pumpkins, leaves, buckeyes, pinecones) I I thought maybe a big thick grey bow on top— but how do I incoporate purple? We talked about doing a deep orange table cloth or runner — I suppose I could have both a deep orange and a deep purple interchangeably….
What do you think??
Here is my tall centerpeice inspiration….

@klb2748: I really like it! Such a great combination of colors! We’re doing pewter and plum raisin, with accents of ivory and green. I get the same comments, and looks. Or people saying_ “oh, grey and purple”. Nope… pewter and plum raisin! lol
I love the branches idea. I’m doing that as well, but only on our table, the food table, and guest sign in table.
This was my inspiration pic:

I LOVE those colors! They’re different, but I saw a purple and orange wedding on like Four Weddings or something the other day and I LOOOOOVED it. And I think charcoal is a gorgeous neutral to pair with the other two colors.
I want my centerpieces to be branchy with votives, too! Such a romantic look.
Nice job and keep up the planning!!! ๐

I found this company Bunches Direct (http://www.bunchesdirect), has anyone worked with them before, I have heard good things and the prices look good, advice please:)

I love branch centerpieces! Here’s my centerpiece inspiration:

I’ll be using curly willow from Save on Crafts, flared rim vases from Dollar Tree and my mom is (hopefully) growing the pumpkins for me, which will make my centerpieces around $5 each! They’ll be on top of eggplant organza runners from Linentablecloth.com and these cool felt placemats from BB&B in plum:
