Not stupid at all. I think orange would be lovely with a champagne dress actually. The DB website has a program where you can plug different colors in for everything having to do with your whole bridal party. Maybe try that to get a visual?

Not stupid! Your color scheme is close to mine, we are doing Navy, champagne, ivories/creams and pops of burnt orange .  I am wearing a champagne dress… there are no doubts that it is champagne no lace overlay etc. I am carrying orange and cream/ivory flowers wrapped in a naby satin ribbon.

The groomsmen will be wearing navy suits with ivory shirts and burnt orange ties.

Bridesmaids are in navy with orange bouquets wrapped in navy ivory striped ribbon.  Obviously I am biased but I think that it will look lovely and that you shouldnt worry one bit.

I stuggled with a similar issue — I bought my dress on Friday and it has a pink hue to it (not blush, but def. pink undertones). Originally my colors were dark grey, sunflower yellow, and tangerine, and I immeditely began to second guess my girls in orange or yellow next to my pink-ish dress. I ended up deciding to downgrade the brightness of the colors — now I am working with more of a burnt orange and a mustard yellow, instead of the bright-bright colors I was originally going to go with. My wedding is in September, so I think the colors will work well for the fall. I definitely stressed about this, though!

Oh, also, my guys were going to wear tan, but now they’ll be in grey. Not going to risk it.

Maybe post a picture of the shades of orange you are talking about? I am not seeing champagne and orange working together. I’m also wondering how much you will blend into the groomsmen’s tan suits.

You can totally do this! We are almost color twins – my colors are navy, orange, and khaki.  My Maid/Matron of Honor is wearing a navy dress, guys are in khaki suits, and my dress is ivory.  All flowers are orange.  Here is some of the inspration for my color scheme:
