Since I’m new at this whole wedding thingy (and I can’t seem to remember much from any recently attended wedding), I need a little help with the order in which things happen at your typical reception, including, but not limited to:
Introduction of Bridal Party
Introduction of Mr. & Mrs.
Mother/Son and/or Father/Daughter dance
*Note: I didn’t include bouquet toss or garter thing because I’m not planning on doing those.
Did I miss anything else? Is the order I have them in correct?
Any suggestions are much appreciated!
~Edit~ Oh, and where do the toasts go???

The order can be totally up to you.
We’re doing a lot of the special stuff early (first dance right away, followed by cake cut) so that we don’t have to pay our photographer to stick around for hours.

Hi there, Chellery!
As cvbee said, you can pretty much arrange your timeline however you want. It’s really what works best for you both and how you want to time everything! What you posted seems great, and also, how I usually suggest my clients do thing because you get the dancing out of the way, which can sometimes be nerve-wracking for some people 🙂
Toasts are usually done with champagne, so I would recommend that you do them either AS dinner is being served (if you’re doing a plated meal), or while people are eating.
Hope that helps, and congratulations!
