I’m confused… did you order the dress in your size, and just the sample was the wrong size, or did you actually order a smaller size than you are?

I like the 3rd photo from the bottom but I’m sure the one you have chosen will look lovely when it arrives in your size too. I haven’t started dress shopping yet eeek maybe I should get on to that ๐Ÿ˜‰

I think you made the right decision. If you had fallen in love with another dress while trying them on then maybe I would understand worrying, but you said yourself none of the other styles or dresses gave you the same feeling. Plus, I know they like to stick brides who aren’t stick skinny in a-lines and ballgowns but you look SO amazing in the mermaid/fit and flare types. They hug your figure so nicely, I’m sure when your Marianne comes in you’ll love it ๐Ÿ™‚

Okay so the bottom pictures are you pinned in the dress. Alright I get it now. I kinda had a similar situation.  I fell in love with a dress I saw online.  I almost just ordered of the picture because no store had my size. I did listen to sound advice and at least go look at it in person. The sample was a 10. However I was able to get in it a lil bit. in the end I bought the dress because I loved it. So long story short go with your gut.

I think the Marianne can be pretty unforgiving on wide hips; however, while your hips may be wide they are not unproportionate to the rest of your body. I think this dress looks bad on girls whose hips are by far the largest part of their bodies.  I think that’s the key to this dress, not your size. I think it will look lovely.

anon082015:  I was very nervous about how I would feel when I actually got the dress in the right size. But when i was zippered into it….I cried couldn’t have been more perfect.  It fits like a glove. I’m so glad I went with my gut. The

You are right! Out of all the dresses, the fitted style does look the best on you! And the Marianne looks beautiful pinned to you so I know it’s going to look amazing! You are very curvy in all the right places!!

anon082015:  I cannot believe I’m even typing this but I adore the ball gown on you (top 2 pics). I am so not frilly and poofy dresses are… lets just say not for me but on you? I really and truly LOVE it. Just throwing it out there to give you some food for thought. The bottom 2 pics (Which I assume is the MS dress you were pinned into and love) is nice but that first dress just made me say wow.

anon082015:  Did you try on any mermaids without rouching (spelling? haha) ? I just ask because went for fit and flare gown but also tried on the marianne. It is a bit more unforgiving but some of them were just as flattering as the rouched gowns!! If you have, you have definitely made the right choice and you will make a beautiful bride!!

You picked the right one, it’s beautiful!

My dream dress had the same problem, their sample was a bridal 12. I needed a bridal 20. I put it on and they had to clip it to the side but I knew it was perfect. It will work out!
