I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through this. It sounds like you’re doing all of the right things and like everyone said, be ready to dispute it with PayPal if it doesn’t arrive in a week. It seems very shady that she didn’t get a tracking number. I will cross my fingers that it works out for you and will look forward to your (hopefully HAPPY) update!

Why not ask her to send a scan of the receipt I agree most of the time if I send anything through ebay via paypal if I ask for a confirmation there’s always a tracking number. Maybe you could take the route of “you know I’m pretty sure the delivery confirmation has a tracking number on it why don’t you just send me a scan of the receipt and I’ll find it for you” or something along those lines that way it’s not like look I don’t trust you or believe you but you can find what you’re looking for.

Also I’d contact paypal and run it by them, just to put your mind at ease. They usually know about these things as well. You could always pop into the post office and ask also then email and her and say hey I asked both paypal and the post office and they said . . .

DId she send it Priority mail? If she sent first class, I don’t believe you can get delivery confirmation. I think you can make someone sign for it though. If she sent it Priority, she would have been able have confirmation, but 1st class may have been cheaper for her to send. Here is the link.

yeah, maybe she’s just an idiot and doesn’t know about tracking numbers?

The tracking number is highlighed at the bottom of the paperwork attached to the mail with the confirmation #, right? Well, you should have it in a few days, at least!

She may just not know what’s going on. But I wouldn’t worry about being there to sign for it – if you’re not home they’ll leave a slip in your mailbox and you can either go pick it up or sign and leave them instructions on where to leave the package.

My dress was $50 to get shipped to me through a WB/Once Wed bride. So that’s not unlikely. I also wonder if maybe she’s just a bit, er, behind with the postal service. The first few times I sold things on Ebay I wasn’t great at it.

I am sorry you are going through this.

USPS does not have a tracking number. They only have delivery confirmation numbers. She would have that number on her receipt and should be able to send it to you. The only way you are going to be able to track your package with USPS is if they scan it along the way, which is very doubtfull. If she sent it priority, you should have your dress in 3 to 5 business days.

She’s probably very disorganized & thought she could’ve sent it to you sooner. That or she needs “post office for dummies” :P.

Probably it cost her so much in shipping because of the box dimensions.  Boxes over 12″ on any side cost more.  So while the dress may weigh 4lbs, and she thought it would only cost [X] amount, if she put it in a huge box, it changes the shipping class.  Also, she most likely did mail it today, although she may have used a 24-hour processing machine to mail it, which could have only been picked up and tracked today.  I doubt it.  Sounds like everything is in order for you to get your dress!  Also good call using PayPal.  They have amazing customer service and a great/fast refund process so if the dress isn’t what it should be for whatever reason, you can get a refund.  Update us when it arrives!

Haha! Isn’t it frustrating not being able to get into your own dress without assistance? I’m glad you finally got it and all is well. After all your troubles with that seller, I was worried it’d have cigarette burns or coffee stains on it when it finally arrived, but it sounds like it’s perfect. Yay! Congrats on your “happy ending.” Post pics when you finally get into it!!
