I went dress shopping by myself last Wednesday and found an empire dress I really liked (see here). Alas, when I went back on Saturday with my mom and sister, they vetoed it, so I tried on three other dresses that I liked when I went by myself. There were two lacy a-line gowns, and the Marisa 815 – fit and flair, silk organza with asymmetrical bias bands and a chapel train. After trying all of these multiple times, we decided that the Marisa gown was the winner. Here it is, on me, and a mannequin. It wasn’t the right size for me, so it poufs out a little in the bust…
What’s funny is that I wouldn’t have picked this gown for myself, but once I had it on, I loved it. Isn’t that often the case? Of course, it helps to have mom and sis in the background, oohing and ahhing. I can’t wait to try it on again once it comes in. 🙂

Congratulations! It is gorgeous on you. I love it on you better than the mannequin!

I love that dress! I saw it on a real girl (not just the model) and it was absolutely gorgeous. Great pick!
