No ma’am, you aren’t the only one!  I didn’t know that ordering a dress was an option either…I just tried on what was available at the time. I still LOVE my dress, and I don’t have any second thoughts about it, because heck, if my Mom and I could agree on it we figured that was a sign from God! 🙂

But I think it’s fairly common, mostly because those shops want to get rid of the merchandise they have in stock so they can get new stuff in!

I also got mine off the rack, and paid about 46% less because of it.  I wanted to try out more dresses, but it was such a good deal, I couldn’t pass up!

I got mine off the rack, but i was only the second person to try it on (it had arrived 2 days prior in a small town near me, special ordered for a girl who was interested and didnt like it.  it still had manufacturer tags on it and was VISIBLY brand new and they showed me the shipping box)  I still got 20% off because of it.  You are not the only one, believe me, I know a few girls who bought off the rack, had the shop clean it, and it was just like new.  There’s really no difference

I bought off the rack!  I just ended up liking the dress and they were able to give me a significant discount on it.  Works for me!

I bought mine off the rack and got a 50% discount. It will need minor alterations in length and in the chest.

Another off the rack girl here.  I bought it at a sample sale for 50% off.  It looks like it’s barely been tried on, and the only alterations I had were the bustle and I took a little pouf out of the skirt.  The top fit like a dream.

There’s a place back home I’m visiting this summer where I hope to buy my dress. It’s off the rack. To me there’s no stigma from buying off the rack – I just don’t understand the appeal of paying more for something you can save on?

Off the rack–a barely-worn sample that I got for $1500 less than it retails for–with alterations included!

Mine was off the rack, but it was straight from the box from the manufacturer and had never even been tried on once. So, it was an off the rack dress, but it kind of had been ordered just for me lol best of both worlds I guess!
