KindaVintage:  I have ordered online before but not through that vendor.  What I did was I checked on the BBB to see if they were accredited and then I reached out to the site first and then we ordered when we liked what we saw and how they interacted.  I used Gemvara.  And this is the result:

KindaVintage:  I’ve ordered online lots of times. I’ve also sold online you can grab some great deals! With a style like that, it’s unlikely that anyone will be misrepresenting a diamond so probably the mail thing that you’re going to be concerned about is service and authenticity. I’ve never ordered from that website but I will say it seems a little over priced for me. Here’s a few that are similar I found with a quick etsy search:

Bigger diamond, third of the price!

https://www.etsy.com/listing/222550633/amazing-art-deco-platinum-center-diamond?ref=shop_home_active_3&ga_search_query=platinum

The last two are platinum, from a seller I have used and really reccomend!

That being said, if the one you posted is what makes your heart sing and you do your research, I don’t see a reason not to go ahead with it!

My DH bought my padparadsha e-ring from the Natural Sapphire Company after doing lots of research. It’s so beautiful!

My friend got her vintage ring (looks similar to the one you want, only it’s rose gold) from Brilliant Earth, so that’s another great site…

Oh, and one of my students recently got engaged with a ring from Blue Nile. Also very pretty!

Just do your research to make sure they’re legit and you will be fine. 🙂

Pretty much all my jewelry including my engagement ring and wedding ring have been ordered online from bluenile. The thing I worry most about is where they’ll leave the package but for high value items they require Id and signature so it works out okay.

Just look for a reputable company and be wise in your delivery options.

my fiancé purchased my ring from Ritani and he said they were great. he said once he picked a diamond in his price range, they shipped it out to a jewler they are partnered with out here in AZ and he was able to look at it in person before making a final purchase. He had done this with a different ring and he said he didn’t like it so he sent it back to them via the jewler with no penalties. He said he looked at blue Nile as well but that they were more expensive and that they would not even send him a picture of the diamonds he was interested in. I love my ring and now my fiancé and I are looking at wedding bands through ritani as well.
