The dilemma: “Letting all the girls pick out their own dresses”
After deciding to pay for all my BM’s makeup and hair for the big day – I didn’t want to make them purchase gowns that they didn’t like or want to spend a lot of money on…. so I let them all decide what they wanted to wear and where they wanted to purchase them (so that they could each find something that fits their budget), just so long as they sent me the link and whatnot to approve before purchasing.
Here’s the problem (we’re a little under 4 months out)- None of them know what dress they will be buying, 3 of them are confident they can get them on time (so I’m not worried about them), but the other 3 don’t even respond to any of my messages. I’ve tried so hard to not nag or point out the ladies who don’t really respond… but at this point, it’s been stressing out the ladies that do respond. I’m not sure whether to reach out to them directly or just trust that they will have them on time. But again – I don’t really want to seem like I’m nagging…
Having been to several bridal salons and being a bridesmaid myself a few times – at this point we had our dresses and our shoes all picked out and were in the process of getting them altered…most bridal salons say that it will take at least 12 weeks ot order and get the dresses in. However, I do know that the 3 ladies that haven’t responded are planning to purchase their dresses through an imitations website of some sort – which I’m not familiar with and don’t know what the timeframe is for ordering and shipping…does anyone know? If so, can you tell me whether you had a positive or negative experience using one of these sites?
I apologize for my rant…
