I’m DIYing my centerpieces and planning to order flowers (most likely hydrangea) from FiftyFlowers.com
If you went this route, any advice? How far in advance did you order (my wedding is May 22)? How many days before the wedding did you have your flowers arrive? Tips or tricks?
Thank you so much, in advance!

Hi. I only ordered a couple of weeks in advance, and had my flowers arrive on Wednesday, for a Saturday wedding (I had just roses though, so you might want to call the customer service line for their advice for hydrangea timing). I wrote up a ton of advice, if you’d like to read it here: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/wedding-pics-diy-flowers-from-fiftyflowerscom You can also find a lot of DIY Flower advice online on IndieBride, and also on A Practical Wedding. Good luck!

I JUST used them for my wedding in February and the flowers were AWESOME
I got mine on a wed/thurs for my saturday wedding and they had enough time to open up and drink water and all that. They looked PERFECT. I got so many compliments on them! As far as tips and tricks – just google easy ways to create bouquets and there will be tons of helpful info – this is what I did and it went off without a hitch.

Has anyone had a bad experience ordering flowers online? When I went to Fresh Market to price, the lady there was strongly against it. She said she had a couple of brides come in whose flowers got stuck in another state or they didn’t come.

I know this question is going to sound really dumb but what do you do with the flowers that arrive on a Wednesday for a Saturday wedding? refrigerator?
