I recently got engaged & am starting the wedding dress search!
I came across some absolutely dreamy designs, but the don’t have any retailers in the USA & you have to order online. I wanted to ask if any of you ordered your gowns online, having never seen them in person (I have seen pics, instagram videos etc). Since it’s a lot of money, I’m feeling cautious about doing it, but some of these designs are just tooooo beautiful.
I am looking at Alfazairy & Tal Kahlon specifically. Prices seem to be $$$$$ so may nix this idea completely, but wanted your input 🙂
Thanks so much!!

I did to almost everyone I know fear. I had no fear. But I’ve heard ALL the horror stories. So here is my story and advice.
Bought my dress on Ebay and it was made in China about 2 years ago. The only major mistake I said the wrong color. Other than that it was ok. I’ll post a picture.
Try on dresses. Atleast know what looks good and what doesn’t. I asked to try on EVER Type of dress, mermaid, ballgown etc. Even if it not your dream dress you know you look good in a certain style.
Do few alterations: This is where I saw the most disasters. They want them to alter this, and this and change this. You are working with people who barely speak english. Believe me I had so of the funniest converstations. I asked for only ONE alteration, I asked that they make my sleeves long. There was already sleeves I just asked for wrist length. Simple alteration. I gave them my measurements and it fit PERFECT. They did question my measurements, I’m 5′ with curves. After explaining I had hips and stuff but I was short. He responded, “OH I see you short like us (chinise) and fat like American.” LOL Like I said communication is interesting.
If you have to add or do big changes to the dress get it made and do it here. My aunt fixed my neckline and did my bustle.
Also read reviews, they try hard to have good reviews mine had over 2000 good reviews and one or two sour ones. Main reason I tried for that particular one.
Last, I hate to say this but remember your buying offline anything can happen. I just trusted that everything would be ok, but I knew it could be a disaster. I LOVED my dress! I’d buy one again from the same company if I had too.
Let us know what you decide.
